Enjoy! 3G1P ---> All of the equipment that the 3G1P team had left behind when they had to evacuate the rock (21 August) is gone - most likely washed away by the high ocean swell under strong winds. The lost equipment includes "the KPA500, one IC-7000, seven Dunestar-300 band pass filters, two multiband antennas, one 2-el yagi, one Honda EU22i generator, two fiberglass masts, all Cezar's personal clothing and sneakers, etc . The estimated replacement value is well in excess of $8,000. To be clear, this loss is the responsi- bility of our team. However, we would very much appreciate all the support that the IOTA and DXing community can afford to offer". See https://3g1psa-100.weebly.com for more information. DX MARATHON SPRINT ---> "The DX Marathon continues to grow, and Cycle 25 has brought even more excitement to DXing", the Program Administrator (Mark Wohlschlegel, WC3W) says. "Participation has nearly doubled in the past few years, and we would like to see it grow even further. This year, we are introducing something special - the DX Marathon Sprint". The Sprint will start on 18 October at 00:00 UTC, and close on 27 October at 23:59 UTC. The rules are simple: within the 10 days window, work as many countries (346) and CQ zones (40) as possible, on 160-6 metres. There will be four classes (Unlimited, Limited, Formula, or QRP), All Modes or single mode (CW, SSB, Digital). All submissions must be made via the submission tool on the DX Marathon' website, and must be received no later than 2 November at 23:59 UTC. See https://dxmarathon.com/rules/2025-sprint/ for the complete rules. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- QSLs received direct or through managers: 3B9DJ, 4O7AB, 5H8HZ, 5Z4BU, 6Y5PW, 9J2BO, 9J2FI, A61ZX, A92AA, AP2TN, CP6CL, D2UY, E7CW, EA5/DL8JJ/p (EU-151), EX9A, GU8FBO, JD1BMH, JW0V, KH7AL/KH9, MJ/OP2D, N6TQ/VY0 (NA-009), OJ0L, PJ7AA, S01A, TX5U (OC-066), TX9A (OC-152), VK9CU, VK9XU, VP2VI, VU7T. **************************************************************************** 425 DX NEWS HOME PAGE: https://www.425dxn.org/ **************************************************************************** 425 DX News is a free of charge weekly bulletin edited by Mauro Pregliasco, I1JQJ and Valeria Pregliasco, IK1ADH Its contents may be used, reproduced and distributed in part or full provided that "425 DX News" or "425DXN" receive proper credit Contributors are invited to send their DX information to Mauro Pregliasco, I1JQJ (i1jqj...@gmail.com) The deadline is 12 UTC on Fridays **************************************************************************** Direttore Responsabile Gabriele Villa, I2VGW Giornalista Professionista - Tessera n. 071675 Ordine Nazionale dei Giornalisti Roma, Italia **************************************************************************** 30 August 2025 A.R.I.
